Brooklyn Man Killed by Remote Controlled Helicopter

A Woodhaven Queens teenager Roman Pirozek was killed by his remote control helicopter on Thursday, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. Pirozek was flying the remote controlled helicopter at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn when the helicopter struck him, taking off the top of his head according to officials. Pirozek was reportedly with his father when the accident happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Pirzek was an avid model helicopter enthusiast and was a vice president of the Seaview Rotary Wings, a model helicopter flying club in Brooklyn.
